First-year Fashion Arts diploma student, Nadia Ali, has landed an exceptional opportunity as a representative for Vervegirl magazine, a publication featuring the latest in fashion, beauty, career and entertainment and available on high school, university and college campuses. Ali’s love of marketing, fashion and networking (both virtual and real) made her one of three magazine representatives chosen from three Canadian universities and colleges. Ali’s role is to host on-campus events, and plan and participate in special events and promotions for the magazine.
“This part-time position really puts my studies into practise,” says Ali. “Humber’s Fashion Arts program combines fashion and business. I love the program and the opportunity to use what I’m learning in my role with the magazine.”
Graduates of the two-year diploma program have landed jobs in major fashion outlets in areas such as merchandising, buying and retailing.
